The implementation and construction of national urban and rural power grid upgrades, coupled with the development of major power grids, have gradually standardized all distribution lines under the 20 kV grid.
Given that the transition from 10-kV to 20-kV power supply systems in some regions and certain institutions in China will take time, and considering the urgent need for transformer-based power supply, users are increasingly placing orders with transformer manufacturers for high-voltage, dual-voltage distribution transformers rated at both 10 kV and 20 kV in order to reduce costs. Moreover, in many countries worldwide, historical factors have resulted in the coexistence of multiple power supply systems (such as 10 kV and 20 kV). To align with actual grid conditions and meet users’ power supply requirements, our company has designed and developed 10-kV/20-kV high-voltage dual-voltage distribution transformers in accordance with the technical specifications provided by customers.
After the transformation from 10 kV to 20 kV, the winding connection group remains unchanged, and the tap voltage ratio stays the same.
The transformer windings are arranged with a reasonable ampere-turn distribution, providing strong short-circuit withstand capability.
Under both voltage operating conditions, there are no idle turns, resulting in low load losses in the transformer.
It is user-friendly; simply by changing the high-voltage external wiring, switching between the two voltage levels can be accomplished.
Note: Our company also manufactures SC(B)-series dry-type transformers with a rating of 20 kV/0.4 kV (i.e., the high-voltage side can only be connected to a single 20 kV power grid).
